An effective recruiting method is to invite prospective members to an open house or rally, where a well spoken, energetic and inspiring Lion can talk with the prospective members about the great things Lions do.  Some ideas for this could include:
  • presenting an LCI promotional DVD – they are very effective in this regard
  • talking about the great things your club does and supports in the community
  •  talking about the great things Lions do and support in the District
  •  talking about the great things Lions do and support nationally, i.e., Lions Foundation of Canada
  •  talking about the great things Lions do and support internationally, i.e., Campaign SightFirst II
  • talking about what Lions has done for the Lion presenter
  •  talking about what Lions can do for the prospective member
  • splashing a few inspirational stories into the mix
  •  limiting it to a maximum of 30 minutes
  •  focusing mostly on local projects
